Map Info

Super Slime Laboratory is a singleplayer Physics puzzle map.

The goal is to throw slimeballs and other slimy projectiles to hit buttons which open doors.

Those projectiles behave similarly to snowballs, except when they hit a block they bounce.

This concept is based on TangoTek's video "What if Minecraft had Super Slime?".

This map is a remake of his mod using vanilla commands and set in a puzzle map environment.

General Info

Estimated playtime: 90 minutes - 3 hours (Depends on how good you are at solving puzzles, could also be more or less)

Difficulty: depends on the stage and ranges from trivial to challenging

Number of players: 1-this is a singleplayer only map. Do not play it on multiplayer because that will break most of the map mechanics.

Features

  • 35 Stages divided into 3 difficulties (15 easy, 15 medium and 5 hard stages)
  • 4 Bouncy Projectiles with different functionality (Super slimeball, Slime pearl, Acid Slime and Slime grenade)
  • Slime buttons and Doors
  • 2 booster items (Zero gravity cream and Cyber hand)
  • Slime Shield
  • Turrets
  • 10 custom advancements
  • A custom resource pack
  • Custom sound effects for doors and turrets
  • A simple tutorial/explanation system

Conclusion

If you find any stage too hard or if you encounter a bug please let me know. I may update the map in the future.

Changelog

v1.1:
- Several bug fixes.
- Minor modifications to 3 medium stages.
- New and improved ending.

hello, this looks like an amazing map, do you think you could convert it for multiplayer?

I will not update it to multiplayer, the main reason being distribution of items. I cannot give all players all the items because that would make a lot of puzzles too easy. If I only gave one player all items then in stages that require ender pearls to reach the end only that player would be able to complete the puzzle.

Seriously cool. I enjoy everything, even the frustrating levels. So far I had to cheat once in a medium level (on the level with the 4 pearls, 1 slime) and I really like the way you deal with players wanting to cheat. I think it's really smart.
I found one bug (which happened twice, in two different levels) where if you use the undo action, turrets might not reset their rotation. I'm not sure exactly what needs to happen for that to occur (it doesn't happen all the time) but I think it only happened after the turret was out of ammo.
Anyway, great job. I'm off to play the hard levels, so expect to find me here again later, complaining about how everything sucks. Cheers! ~LC

I'm aware of the turret-undo bug. I am not quite sure what causes it but if I manage to fix it I will update the map.

Please put on how to use the Cyber Hand

It tells you when you get it: put it in your offhand (default key F), then throw something else.
Quoting kiwimeneer:
I found a bug in one of the medium levels and it allowed me to teleport out of the map (i think the items were 2 teleport slimes and 2 normal slimes) and it was before the level with one normal slime, one acid-covered slime, and 2 slime grenades.

I did it by first throwing a teleport slime on the highest block of the Z-like structure, which got me stuck inside a block where i started to suffocate. Then I jumped and threw the other teleport slime and i got out of the map after. I fell into the void and managed to get out of the death loop by using a teleport slime i got from going into creative, and after exploring i found sign that says ''M12 218''

Update: I used /setblock X Y Z air to go into the building and i managed to get back into spawn.

Update 2: The command blocks didn't like me going out of bounds and stopped functioning correctly, had to reinstall the map.

An easy fix for this problem would be to make the roof from that level 2 or 3 blocks instead of the 1 block it currently is.

Will be fixed next update: if you fall out of map boundaries you'll be teleported back.

0 Edam This is a really amazing map. I've no idea how you pulled off such wizardry! Amazing implementation of a pretty cool idea.

I've just one issue though. I managed to get teleported outside the map boundaries, and now I'm stuck in a endless death loop from void. This may not be the best description, but I was in the blue (normal?) area, inside vertical room which I had entered from the top and had fallen down. (I believe 1 had 1 acid, 1 ender and some normal slimes) Anyway, I managed to throw my ender slime through a gap in the wall with incinerators around, which was above the exit. When it landed, I was still within the puzzle boundaries, but it took my items and teleported me to the next area, though the teleportation must be relative, as I was teleported to above the next room, and as such fell into the void.

Other than this one thing, the map is the best I've seen in a long time. Keep up the good work ;)

I can't complete normal mode! when i try to finish a level it teleport me somewhere

At which level did this happen (which items did you get at the begining/ what did the level look like) and where did it teleport you?

0 kiwimeneer honestly one of the best (if not THE best) puzzle maps I've played.
I did find a typo in the map rules though (signleplayer instead of singleplayer)
