Map Info

This is a mini-CTM map, in which players fight to survive and complete their objective: the Wool Monument.

Ticking Chill features a freezing mechanic which lowers the player's temperature over time, leading to different negative effects and even death.

The only way to raise your temperature is to stand near fire. Unfortunately the mechanic only works in singleplayer.

There are 3 objectives in the map and overall it should take between 1-3 hours to complete.

The map is moderate in difficulty, and should be beatable even for those new to CTM maps.

Abandoned in this desolate and frozen land, will you be able to keep warm and survive long enough to complete your objective?

Additional Info

Ticking Chill is a map created for the Strawberry Jam. Mapmakers had 72 hours to create a CTM map around the theme of "countdown." This was my entry into the jam.

Good luck, and have fun!

Please stop mini-ctms and actually take time on your creation.

+4 Jjpower I liked the freezing effect, it's a nice touch, but for a CTM map this was quite easy. I managed to finish the map solo on hard within 30-40 minutes, simply due to the amount of items that are given to you at every turn. I feel like you could benefit greatly by reducing this amount and making you have to work for it a bit harder. I actually had to start leaving everything behind because I was too strong to die already and there was only one piece of wool left. Speaking of difficulty, The blue wool was the only actual difficult candidate and this was mostly due to the shear number of mobs waiting for you at the ladders. It also wasn't too difficult to cheat my way through the last room, as I discovered on my way back.
Overall I do enjoy it, just needs to be a bit more evenly distributed with items and difficulty scaling, especially with this few pieces of wool. Nice job!
