Map Info:
You have been mysteriously transported to the Minelight Zone. How and why you got there you may never know. But you need to get out.

Use your Minecraft skills to survive this non-linear adventure hybrid map. There are a variety of strategies to use, and resources placed throughout the map. Work carefully you will succeed. If you are looking for an adventure/survival challenge map, this is the map for you!

Play time is entirely dependent on skill, and can vary from as short as ten min (unlikely) to over two hours.

The map gets harder as time goes on, with the difficulty peaking at 30 min.

The map can be played by one player, or as many others as you want. (the more the scarier)

This map gives you the full power of survival mode. Break blocks, craft, and build your way out. DO NOT PLAY ON PEACEFUL. (Easy is fine) Don't use cheats or mods, and be sure your void-fog isn't disabled.

Good luck!

Thanks for downloading The Minelight Zone!

Warning: This map not easy, and requires some Minecraft experience. Feel free to restart if you get stuck, but it might be better to stick with it.

+8 Rachel very nice map! i explored a bit, found the torches, and spent the rest of the time digging dirt to get out. thank goodness the chest i found first was the one with the bow and arrows, or i would have died. took me about 15 minutes. although, the troll floating bedrock was SO ANNOYING. but i give it 10/10! Using the void was a great idea. i hate void fog. :/

+1 NAwesome I accidentally played this on peaceful. but it was a really fun map and the fact that you couldn't see very far in front of you made it better. the map is not to hard or easy. the exit is really high but that's okay because it makes it more fun. really fun map!

-18 TreePuncher2204 That was so easy. Try adding more mobs and make some more redstone stuff of something... i did it in under 2 mins.

-15 Ethan_Unken When I began I loved it, the Ghast was just so creepy the way you couldn't see it at all, and the noises it made just added to the creepy atmosphere what with everything being dark.
But it's a vanilla village spawn with bedrock walls around it, the ghasts kept spawning and the noise was just INTOLERABLE, if you spend more than a few minutes running around trying to get your bearings (or getting lost), so many of them will spawn to a point where I couldn't go outside, let alone scale a wall. The noise was annoying me so much that I stopped bothering to make a safe base, I was getting blown all over the place, and... ugh.
This can be an atmospheric game with a tiny bit more polishing.

-10 Lixerman99 I stayed around for a bit getting loot and working on ways to get out but I think there becomes more and more ghasts or something because there was about 20 making the map impossible.

After running around the edge for about 2 minutes, i found the big arrow in torches. From there, it was pretty simple. Got out with reletively little difficulty. Every video i've seen though had people ending on the top of the cube thing reading a load of signs. Am i the only one who pushed the button and woke up in an NPC village? And what structure to the east? I didn't see any structure

I found the structure, Press F3 and look at the list of numbers...it should say what direction you are facing somewhere

-3 Kaine I guess i got lucky. I found myself a water bucket and used it to get to some chests i saw up on the outer walls. Then i figured that "can't i just use it to get to the top too?" And i started climbing the wall even higher. As i got higher up, i noticed a piece of the wall that was not like the rest of the wall, so i moved towards it. Turned out to be the way out. I didn't even have to explore! Lucky me! I heard a ghast shooting at me as i got to the opening, but since i was inside water, i guess it never hit me or something. I dunno. I just got the hell out of there. Woke up in some village after pressing a button. Found a structure to what i believe to be "the east", but nothing too special was in it. Found a chest there, but no signs or anything like that.

-4 croftyman consider making the floors out of bedrock, because after getting frustrated at trying to exit, i got myself a few stacks of dirt and nerd poled up to the ceiling, then bridged over to the exit. beyond this the map and the maps idea are incredible

-4 Pacificmaelstrom @Dars It isn't as easy as it sounds, unless you know what to do from doing it the first time. (or if you cheat)

-2 3p1k I found a pretty simple way to win within 2 minutes. Once you start the map, the house across from you (i think thats the right house) has a bucket in it. All you have to do from there is grab some water from the empty farms, and then climb the wall with water to the exit before any ghasts even spawn!

-5 Legostrike3 I played it, and wow...just, really? Ghasts? when i started i thought maybe, just maybe it would be zombies and skeletons, but ghasts? anyway, like anonymous, i had to cheat a bit to win. i spawned myself a diamond pick to speed up the cobble farming, and then i flew a bit to reach the end (i was only 8 blocks away and i had run out of materials, you would fly too. you can not believe the pleasure i had blowing that place into smithereens when i was done.

+11 Tag It starts really good, at first I enjoyed it very well (I have high standards for adventure maps) but after 20 minutes it just got pointless and too hard(I was playing on Easy). Some advice you may take:
-keepInventory:true
-less ghasts
-better storyline

The concept is pretty nice, and with some more work and testing you could make it more user-friendly / playable / enjoyable.

+7 Pacificmaelstrom @anonymous, this map is meant to be hard, but it is very possible. It does take time to get all the way up to the exit, but that is the challenge.
Here are some hints:
The exit is marked off by one of the columns of torches on the big walls.
Standing on top of a house or tower will help you see it.
Cobblestone enclosed staircases or pillars or ladders are your best bet for reaching the exit and the valuable chests.

-11 Valvaris strange map - i did not get any clue what to to and after a few minutes ghasts burned the whole village down so there was no place to hide from them ô_O

+3 anonymous I think you need to make this thing simpler. I only solved it by (I admit it) cheating. The exit is WAY to hard to find and high to reach.

+7 Pacificmaelstrom Oops, It looks like I left the map in creative mode. Go to Esc> Open to Lan> allow cheats> and then type "/gamemode 0" to fix it. I sent a new version (1.1) so once that is up, there won't be a problem.
