Map Info: You're travelling towards the city. A series of caves divides you from your destination. Your eyes don't see the sun light since days and you start to feel really tired. You start to think about desisting... You're lost, you will never see the light again. Walking aimlessly, you reach a big cave. At the center, a carved pumpkin is waiting for you...
Features:
- Many different puzzles, each one different and original;
- Wear masks and different type of armors, each one with a different effect;
- A mysterious story, with personalized characters;
- A lot of special effects and details like footprints on grass;
- A one of a kind Boss battle that isn't arrows based or a simple spam-click;
- A special hint system to help you if you're stuck;
- A Custom in-game menu, where you can change outfit, ask for hints or check your progress with a simple click.
Important Infos:
- Play in single player;
- Play in Minecraft 1.8.8: any precedent version, even 1.8.6, won't work properly;
- In the last puzzle, you should see 9 armorstands: due to a bug in Minecraft 1.8, sometimes you can't see all of them. If this happens, reload the map;
- You can see this video to understand how the menu system works, or to see what to do if you're stuck in the central part of the map;
- If you use my map for a youtube video, or you post it anywhere, you must provide a link to map page. In particular, for youtube you must put the link in the description in a visible way or, if you prefer, an annotation with a link to this video, at the start or at the end of the video.

First off, the way the map was sold was done very well! The mystery element was well-placed, and the story was intriguing (despite its mild presence in the map). The abilities were also interesting and unique, and the puzzles not too hard! The map itself is pretty good, although I feel like some the execution fell a bit flat... the concept was great, and it had me interested, but there were a few hiccups that I encountered while playing that could have been smoothed out:
The first thing I noticed when I started playing is that the whole "being lost" part of the story didn't seem to be reflected in the map; if you went one way, your "conscious" says " Can't go forward", and resets you back to where you were; conversely, going the other way gives you the message "Can't go back" (these aren't verbatim, by the way), yet also resets you. This implies that you, the protagonist, knows which way to go, even though the story implies that you are lost wandering through these caves. The advantage of this is that you start out on a very linear path, as there is only one way you CAN go; the downside is that it contradicts the story, and it would have been just as easy for the mapmaker to create a sort of looping maze that makes it seem like you really are lost. In short, this part felt choppy and forceful; it didn't destroy the immersion, however. It was just a bit awkward for anyone who had read the story before starting.
The second thing that threw me for a loop was the fact that, almost as soon as you start playing, you're thrown into a boss battle - and not an easy one, at that. While I don't have many complaints about the difficulty of the boss battle (it's definitely one of those battles that require several retries to do...), the fact that it was the very first thing you encounter makes the excitement flow of the map uneven; that is, I felt like I was defeating a final boss, not a starter boss or an enemy of any sort, especially due to the stark contrast of difficulty between the first stage and the three stages after it. In comparison to the ending, the boss was the more thrilling part of the map, and probably should have been the conclusion, not the beginning; either that, or this first boss should have been more subdued (especially since starting players still have yet to grow used to their fancy menu GUI) and an added final boss more challenging.
The third thing I noticed is that there was something off about the final puzzle... I'm not sure if it was just my copy of the map (I do stupid things sometimes, like accidentally remove the heads off armor stands and need to reload), or there was actually a bug, but for some reason only three of the stands had glowing heads without the pumpkin mask on, and when I did put the mask on only four of them glowed, with one of them being a stand that glowed regardless of the mask (so the other two stands that glowed without the mask would stop glowing). I eventually found the right combination by using the Super Guide to pinpoint two of the stands, and then rotating through the others, but the puzzle did confuse me for quite a while until that happened.
Aside from those three things, I actually enjoyed the map more than I expected! It was fairly short, though it seems that maps with fancy abilities like this one are never too long; speaking of the abilities, I think they were the best out of all of this! I wish the map was longer just so the full extent of those abilities could be used, because the way they worked was both intriguing and fun to utilize; the command blocks/redstone magic are the next best features of the map. I hope to see these abilities (or a similar concept) used by Pmk in the future! If I could give half-stars I would, because this is just shy of 5/5; I especially love the way one's imagination had plenty of wiggle room to interpret the creatures encountered. This is a good map to play!

QuoteIf you mean the cave behind the waterfall where the ghost told you to go, you simply have to find a secret passage blocked by fake stone blocks. The cave where you fall is after that, I think you have confused them.

QuoteTo the first commenter: there isn't a real story in this map, because it's too short and it was created with the intention of showcasing my menu concept; every story telling element is only a prelude for a possible sequel map I have in mind. Then, minecraft maps have very rarely a plot that isn't clichè or simply stupid, so I don't know what you aspect. Finally, the boss is that way and others liked it, maybe for the simple fact that you don't use a bow or spam click to defeat it. Why should I redo a map that has really humble aims? I'm happy with it.
