It's been two years since the release of "The Kitatcho Laboratories: Episode 1", and due to my old map making team disbanding, I never got around to making Episode 2 until a few months ago when I assembled a brand new team: Team Syllica!
If you haven't played episode 1, it's highly recommended that you do before checking out this map!
Episode 1 can be found here.
The Kitatcho Laboratories: Episode 2 features everything episode 1 had to offer plus more!
Still maintaining the idea of keeping the puzzles more fun than challenging, while still offering that satisfying "A-ha!" moment when you solve a chamber, Episode 2 improves on the overall design, story, mechanics, and features that were in the first map!
These features include:
- 25 new and unique chambers!
- Roughly 3-4 hours of gameplay!
- Custom mechanics like lasers, moving platforms, wind turbines, and more!
- A fully voice acted story!
I hope you all enjoy this map since we've put many hours into making it!
I think it's without a doubt the most ambitious and highest quality map I've ever released to date and I hope it shows!
Enjoy!
1.0 - Initial Release 1.1 - Fixed spawning bug, fixed ability to smuggle unwanted objects into test chambers, made optimization tweaks 1.2 - Fixed a broken chamber, made minor tweaks

QuoteThe map was not tested with multiplayer in mind and is intended for singleplayer only. If you want to give it a try, go ahead, but be warned that the map may not function properly at some points in multiplayer and that certain puzzles may be either confusing or broken as a result.

QuoteOh cool, good to know that someone actually found my easter egg area (The one with the discs)! I haven't heard of anyone finding it on here or YouTube yet. You found all of the journals too, so you did find all of the lore-based easter eggs. There are a lot of random small secrets around the map though that are just for fun if you want something else to look for. :)

QuoteWe have plans of showing off the Kitatcho Labs in the future in a future map, so sadly the answer to your question is no. I'm glad to hear that you liked the map so much that you wanted to make a fan made sequel :)

QuoteI loved your voice acting job and I already played the map multiple times because it's so good!
Is it possible for you to voice act Jake in my fan made adventure map about rediscovering Kitatcho labs 10 to 20 years later...?

QuoteWe plan on making a co-op Kitatcho Labs map that takes place between the events of episode 1 and 2, but episode 2 is the end of the series when it comes to the timeline. But maybe we'll make a new series of maps that might so happen to take place in the same universe as the kitatcho labs and explain what happened on the surface ;)

QuoteThat's intentional; it's possible to solve it with 9. :)

QuoteOh no, believe me, you only need 9 ;)

QuoteNone of the chambers in this map are impossible. You're given everything you need to solve them :P

QuoteThank you very much! We spent a ton of time on this map, and wanted to make sure it was something special. Also, extra special thanks: I'm the voice actor for Jake, so I'm glad you liked him. :)

QuoteThere's a glitch on a puzzle with lava (the one where there was glass on lava) where I died and got sent back to the "abstract design" puzzles. After that, if I saw lava I used gamemode 1 so that I wouldn't get set back and look for the puzzle.
The last redstone puzzle was hard ;; (That's my only non-constructiv e whiney complaint).
