Map Info:
Hello all, and welcome back to the third instalment of my Obstacle Course series! It's another frantic struggle through 50 obstacles as you jump, run, duck and dive all in an attempt to reach the finish and stop the clock in as little time as possible. This map can be played alone or with as many friends as you want, and is sure to be a blast, as it focuses more on being fun and easy than challenging and frustrating. How quickly can you complete the course?

The main aim of my Obstacle Course maps is to reach the finish line by completing a chain of 50 fun and diverse challenges as quickly as possible with as few deaths as possible. The map will automatically keep track of your time in minutes and seconds, as well as how many times you have died and which checkpoint you are on. This will all be displayed on the right of the screen for your convenience. When playing in multiplayer, these stats will be shared - you will be working cooperatively, so will be sharing a timer. Your death counter will also be shared, so if one player dies, the death counter increases for everyone. You will also share checkpoints, so only one player has to make it to the end of the obstacle for all players to continue.

Skip Obstacles - New to Obstacle Course 3!

UniqueImpact's Obstacle Course 3 now contains level skips. If you really feel like you can't complete an obstacle, you will be given a snowball which you can throw to skip the entire obstacle and go straight onto the next one! This does come at a cost, however - 2 minutes will be added to your timer!

I wish you all the best of luck! - UniqueImpact

Hey Unique!

First of all... Holy Shizzle! Your maps!!! OMFG!!

Ok, now that that's out of the way...

Your maps are full of humor, laughs, and amazingness! I love how you put everything together to make a map that not only tests your skill, but makes you laugh to relieve that feeling of raging at those... those... SNAKES!!

If there was one thing I could recommend, it is to put the 'skip level' snowball in a different slot. It's kinda annoying to click it accidentally.

Anyhow... THIS IS AWESOME! Keep making levels, i love them!

~Alen

Thank you so much. :D The snowball was actually placed in the first slot to remind you that it was there when you died. I may patch it and put it into a different slot though. :D

I am playing this map with my friend and we spawned at the command block area. Throwing a snowball did nothing. What are the cords I should tp to? I would really like to play this map

I believe there are a few bugs with multiplayer. I may make a patch for this at some point, but I have other plans. If you want to play multiplayer, just teleport to 1000 50 1000, push the button then teleport the other players to you. Everything should be fine from then on.

But then it will mess up with the players when they joining the map, no?
I don't want the players to spawn in the (/setworldspawn) area, I want them to spawn in another place, usely I change their spawn point if needed with NBTExplorer.

Create a scoreboard objective called "FirstSpawn" type dummy, then place the following commands into 3 command blocks on 20hz clock in the spawn chunks:
/spawnpoint @a[score_FirstS pawn_max=1] (x, y, z of where you want players to spawn)
/tp @a[score_FirstS pawn_max=1] (x, y, z of where you want players to spawn)
/scoreboard players add @a FirstSpawn 1

I used the spawn chunks. Minecraft will always load the spawn chunks of the world, so you can place restone in these spawn chunks and it will always work, even when there are no players there. To set the spawn chunks of a world, use /setworldspawn. Note that you can only have one set of spawn chunks. If you use the command twice, the second place you use the command in will counteract the first place. Also, the spawn chunks are where players will spawn in the first time they log in, so keep in mind you may have to teleport players to the start of the map when they log in if you're setting the spawn chunks away from the map. :)

Hello!
I wanted to ask a question how did you make it the command blocks you placed were far away from the map and you didn't had the problem with "Cannot place blocks outside the world" If can you please tell me how did you do it, thanks!

Will there be a fourth installment or are you stopping at 3?

I plan on a fourth instalment at some point in the future, but halloween is coming and I'm making a different map at the moment. I really want to make a map incorperating all the new parkour elements in 1.9, such as the levitation effect, the new iron bars and the wings, but it won't be out in the near future.
