QuoteReally scary. cool story. perfect length. I have NEVER seen or played a horror map that does not have a texture pack.
Great Job! :)

QuoteSo what I did to make this interesting is download a horror resource pack, and use that as the "Map's Resource Pack." All the pumpkins were scary faces.

QuoteFirst of all, I'm deeply honored you had my map hosted like that, it made my day to read this!
As for a fix, if you know how to use commands, you can just /tp into the small building next to the repeater clock thingy, or just break into it. If the host, which I'm assuming is you, spawns in there, you can just do /tp That being said...
This really isn't the best map to play in multiplayer. It's completely possible to play multiplayer, but from what I've seen, other people who play my map together usually receive a more sub-par experience than playing by yourself. And I'd imagine it would be even worse if you have more than 2 people playing.
I do apologize for this. I really wasn't able to test any of the multiplayer aspects of this map, which led to all of these inadequacies . Hopefully this doesn't happen in the next map, and I hope you are able to make it work out, Simon. Have a good day :D

QuoteI think it's a pretty good map, but the ending was a bit abrupt and confusing. Other than that, it was pretty good.

QuoteI'm sorry to hear that! But if you want to finish the map there are plenty of great walkthroughs on YouTube!

QuoteAlso, how exactly does one go about creating a resource pack?

QuoteAs you can see, it's too quiet at every moment, I mean, in a good horror game or even a good minecraft horror map, the player has to be scared at every moment, at every corner. You can use a scary ambient sound, like some wind, and sometimes some little screams. When I played your map, I wasn't scary to open a door, because I know that the only thing which can appear is a simple armorstand with a enderman's scream. Since the begining of the scary part, we know the monster, so there is no surprise!
You didn't want to use a resource pack, okay, but it's not scary because it's too... Minecraft! My first map which was an horror map had a resource pack :p (it was a 1.7.10 map).
So if you want, I'll try to make your map more scary :p

QuoteFair enough. Keep in mind, though, this is my first map! I made it completely vanilla without texture packs because I wanted to keep it simple and to change up the pace a bit, make it a bit more minecraft-y. Some of the texture packs in these maps make it seem you're playing a completely different game(which I suppose is the point, but you get the idea). It's really just meant to be a starter horror map for beginners, or a horror map that offers a different kind of style(I particularly was inspired by Fahrenheit's "Lucid Nightmare" vanilla horror map). Anyway, as such, I see no way I could have made it much more scary than how I've done it. If you have any advice in dabbling in texture packs and stuff let me know so I can improve this in the future! Now here's a question for you: what makes a map a horror map? Is it the setting? The environment? The jumpscares? I think I've met those qualifications in some way. I know this isn't the best map in the world, but it took me months and months and I can't see how it warrants such a mediocre review as "Not a horror map". As for boring, I can't really argue that, but everyone I watch playing my map seems to enjoy it in some way!
Thanks for the insight anyway. If this is what people want in a minecraft horror map, I'll be sure to apply that if I make another one. Cheers!

QuoteOnly the begining of the story was cool, but that's it. Next time, use a resource pack, and make your map more scary, because for now, we can't call this map an horror map. If you want some exemples, you should try "Grief", a 1.8 horror map, or "Demon Brain", these maps use a resources pack, and it works.
You can do much better, but you have to work on all the scary stuffs.
