Map Info

After months of work, I’m happy to announce my first full CTM release, Nemesis: Winds of Time!

The map puts a modern spin on a classic, linear-branching layout, with sixteen unique areas to explore, as well as a wide variety of custom loot and mobs.

It’s a beginner-accessible, multiplayer-friendly map that should (hopefully) be fun for newcomers and veterans alike.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the map, and I hope you enjoy it!

If you want to stream or LP the map, please link to it in your video description.  Other than that, go wild!

  • Over 100 unique custom loot items + potions
  • Dozens of threatening custom monsters
  • 16 diverse, colorful areas to explore, spread across five intersections
  • Approximately 7-10 hours of engaging gameplay
  • Multiplayer compatibility

+10 Nava Quoting HelpMan:
We can't find intersection four. We got all three wool and have searched the whole area. Plz help!

In the Cyan wool area, you should find a ladder leading down from the largest platform. Follow the path and it should lead you to I4.

+6 maliwan This map was super awesome! My friend and I were looking for an adventure map, and this map did not disappoint at all. We could tell that a ton of work and thought went into it. Beautiful maps, cool mobs, and awesome gear. Kept us entertained for quite a while. Definitely would recommend playing this map!

+38 Pitrovsky This was a very solid map for your first CTM. I'd recommend it especially to newcomers. I haven't played minecraft in a long time; I'm glad people are still creating maps for this genre.

*fair/easy difficulty (7 deaths)
*medium length (8-9 hrs)

More review below (MINOR SPOILERS):

*these are my personal opinions regarding game design, which may be different from others :)

+nice looking areas with aesthetic color pallets
+good use of void- I liked the area where you could use it to your advantage to punt enemies off
+mostly linear levels- I didnt get lost once somehow
+occasional versatility to break up mostly linear/horizont al levels
+solid story/lore for a free map
+cool loot rarity system and plenty of it to find
+never had to farm food or arrows

Constructive Criticism:
-Natural spawns caused a majority of my deaths, generally from creepers spawning high up on walls and then falling on my head. I would consider turning natural spawns off and taking complete control of the mob spawning. Or at least using "honeypots" to reduce natural spawns. They were especially annoying in areas with lots of lava/light/wate r and at the end of linear segments where they have little room to left spawn (which makes the final room much harder) Also, phantoms attacked me in my base which was irritating. (Theres not really any point to sleeping more than once)

-There are some things that I think could be improved with the prebuilt base as well:
1. Either light it up or if you want the player to light it up themselves, give the player the resources to do so
2. Why are there brewing stands if the player never gets netherwart (maybe i missed this??)
3. The villager trading system is a good idea, I would prefer they traded higher tier items instead of coal/food/basic armor
