Map Info:
40 Jumps is a challenging single-player parkour map, made for minecraft 1.8. It features 40 individual levels of parkour that you can progress through. The map will also track your total completion time.

Features:

Before You Play:

  • Make sure you are playing on 1.8.
  • If playing on a server, turn command blocks on.

The Youtuber Rule:

+4 Microsoftie Playing on a server isn't ideal, since the effects you give us last barely a second once we've gotten off the block and thus makes us lose it because of lag and we die instead of even jumping high enough...

-The player is killed.
Using an armor stand, you could teleport it to the beginning of each level and teleport the player to it (and perhaps teleport them to it for about a second so they don't jump to their death).

-The player respawns facing away from the actual parkour.
This could be fixed by using additional parameters in the teleport command to face the player the opposite direction (/tp [player] x y z [horizontal rotation] [vertical rotation]). If you're using the armor stands the player is forced to look in the direction that the armor stand is.

-Unnecessary Command Blocks
I looked around at the redstone after playing and noticed that you used a lot of /setblock clocks. You can make the game less laggy (although I didn't have a problem with lag) by using a fill clock instead.

That's fine, I try to draw out the negatives in people's comments to try and improve my maps but it's hard for this one. I am the only tester, I work solo. I will not make any of my maps easier because people cannot beat it. You can't beat it? Practice, try again, don't blame the map. I take it that you meant that this map was poorly made, though I highly disagree with that. The layout of this map is really good and the difficulty spikes in this map hit every 5 levels. Thanks for the comment though, I pay close attention to the negative ones!

i downloaded it again, worked a little better...idk if its a map issue or not, but i really like your maps and this is the only one i have a problem with, sooooo now that that issue is resolved can we all stop quoting each other? xD

It might actually be a Minecraft issue. Maybe just how Minecraft handles stuff. Again, idk. Other than that it's a great map, though.

No, I'm not on a server. I'm pretty sure it's not a computer issue, because any other map I play works fine. It might not be a map issue, but then I don't know what it is.

Everything works fine for me in version 1.8. If you're on a server, try not to. Because the map does stuff up in multiplayer since it's a single player map.
