Map Info

Map made by: Dominicthestar and Kierewietje13

This is a extremely large find the button map with an estimate playing time of 5 hours. The map also contains an unique storyline. Fight your way through 8 different worlds, and find out how the story ends. But it's not as easy as "just find a button" and "place it on the golden block". No, there will be creatures trying to stop you. And at the end, there is a "little" suprise waiting for you...

As you might have read already, this map is for the biggest part a find the button map, but each world contains two bosses, so you also have to fight several times. There is also a minimum amount of parkour in the map.

The map uses a resource pack, which you can find in the map file. You can also click a link in the spawn. If you don't equip the resource pack, the map will sometimes look REALLY strange.

Some important stuff

  • This map can be played with up to 4 players.
  • The buttons are hidden in chests, and you have to place them on golden blocks
  • The story has 8 worlds, which in each of them 10 levels. Sometimes a world contains one EXTRA level. and the suprise at the end.
  • In some of the levels are multiple buttons.
  • In 3 cases there are 10 or more buttons in a level.

The Idea and the adventure in this map is great ! But please fix the bugs... This map has so many xD

I know there are many buggs, we try to fix as many as possible. some buggs are caused by optifine, some buggs are caused by minecraft itself and some buggs are caused by people playing the map on too weak systems. The renderdistance bugg is very difficult to fix, because it would require us to replace almost every single commandblock somewhere else. There are some buggs that we just couldn't find, and we fix all buggs we see on YouTube videos. We're trying to make it a good experience for everyone. It's a very big map, and we tested it four times. The buggs we didn't find are probably all fixed now. We're currently working on the next part, world 10 which involves some aspects of horror,
and world 11, which is in the style of asleep 1 and 2. We really apprieciate your feedback, and we'll be testing the whole map again to make sure there are no buggs. of corse we play with the settings we put at the spawn. If your interested, I've listed the minimum system requirements to play the map at a reasonable 50FPS. We tested at 32 chunks. (Yes, I've really tested it..)
Minimum:
Intel i3 dual-core 3.6 GHZ
AMD R9 200 series
4 GB RAM
Recomended:
Intel i5 quad-core 3.2 GHZ or higher
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 or higher
8 GB RAM
What i use:
Intel i7 10 cores - overclocked to 3.5 GHz
2X Nvidia 1080 In SLI mode
32 GB of ram
(Don't blame me, I'm just a performance enthousiast...)
I hope I've helped some of you guys. In the next part we'll have a list of the hardware you'll need to play this map at smooth framerates and without buggs. So if you're running into many buggs, DONT play with optifine, DONT play with a system which cannot handle the map, And play in the correct version of minecraft. And if you encounter ANY buggs, please let us know where, and what the bugg was. Thanks for reading this rather long message, and I'm sorry if my english is'nt on point some times.

I just finished world 2 - level 7, but I can't play level 8. The carpet is black, and there's no pressure plate.

This can easily be fixed, just go to Gamemode 1 get some pressure plates and put it in the center of the black carpet :)

I can't belive that there are people wo are seriously still saying this in the map comments... The map breaks if you don't play with at least 24 renderdistance! i've said it like times now...

Impressive map. However, parkour, mazes, and low light are excessive and unimaginative. Also, all the time spent, I think there could of been something more creative besides a bunch of obviously placed hiding spots with hard to click chests. That being said, the map and terrain is awesome!

Have you already played the whole map? In world 8 we tried some new things... We really tried to not make the map "Only find the button" so we added some mazes and parkour. Thanks for your feedback, and in world 3 and 8 are buttons that give you nightvision.

In world 2 level 10. The skeleton can fall in the lava. :(. So i cant get the button.

There are tripwires down there that prevent the skeleton from falling in the lava by teleporting him up AND he has antu-knockback. ..How did you manage to get him in the lava in the first place?!?! Anyways, Go into gamemode 1and place a button on the block. Go back to gamemode 2 afterwards.

Put your render distance at 32 Chunks. If this is too heavy for your PC, then try on 20 or 16 chunks.

umm... i don't know why but i was playing the map and when i finished world 2 it didn't let me go to world 3 i counted the levels and there were only 9 so i dont know what happened i still can't go on world 3 ? what should i do ?

There are 10 levels. at the end of lvl 9 you got a shovel. use that to get the gravel out of the way and proceed to lvl 10. after lvl 10 there is a button to proceed to world 3 in the world room. otherwise press the button in the world room that unlocks world 1 until 5 and go back to the world room.

0 Dominicthestar There is a slight issue with the map. Sometimes if you start a level or activate an other command the command just does'nt activate. this is because of renderdistance. We build the map with high-end gaming systems so we constantly played at 32 chunks renderdistance. The map worked perfctly fine with this renderdistance, but if you play with less the command block give an output wich says: "Cannot place block outside of the world." To fix an issue like this, go into gamemode 1, then find the begin redstone, after that break the redstone block in front of the module that corresponds to the level you were playing. Place the block again and the level should start. If it still does'nt work I dont know how to fix it. I'll list the hardware I personaly used while making the map here:
CPU: i7 7700K overclocked at 5.1 GHz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 RAM: 24GB I booted minecraft from a ssd drive.
Don't worry, this is not what you need, but what I used. Just wanted to let you know why you sometimes run into problems an how to solve them! anyone already finnished the last level?
