It is 2 September 1666 in London, a spark falls from a bakers oven in Pudding Lane starting a fire that tears through the City. Experience the story like never before as you help put out the fire, rescue Londoner's possessions and blow up houses to try and save the City from the Great Fire of London!
Inspired by the Museum of London’s rich collections, the Great Fire 1666 maps allow players to explore the City of London and experience the story of the fire like never before. Uncover the causes of this terrible event, help fight the fire and eventually try your hand at rebuilding London. Each map will include challenges that help players delve deeper into the story and experience what it was like to be part of the Great Fire.
This second map lets you play through each day of the Great Fire of London in a series of mini-games:
Along the way, you'll meet famous Londoners from the time including Thomas Farriner, the Mayor of London and Kind Charles II.
This project is a collaboration between the Museum of London, digital producer Adam Clarke, professional mapbuilders Blockworks and game designer Dragnoz.
The third and final Great Fire 1666 map is scheduled for release in February 2017, starting after the fire and helping to rebuild the city.
