These are not a lookalike font. Each image is cropped from ascii.png, the texture Minecraft actually draws its interface text from, and scaled sixteen times with no smoothing, so the pixels stay exactly as hard as they are in game. The number under each letter is its advance width, which is how much room it takes on a sign.
Seven pixels tall, and all of them six pixels wide except I, which takes four.
Five pixels tall, with g, j, p, q and y dropping below the baseline. The narrow ones are i at two, l at three, t at four, f and k at five.
All ten are the same size: five pixels of ink, six of advance.

Minecraft measures each glyph by trimming the blank columns on the right of its 8 by 8 cell and adding a single pixel of spacing. Most characters land on six pixels, which is why the font passes for monospaced until you look closely. Seven do not: i takes two, l three, t four, f and k five, and capital I four.
Those seven are the whole difference. The word Minecraft comes to 47 pixels rather than the 54 a six-pixel grid would give it, because the i, the f and the t each give a little back. Tools that space every letter equally produce text that is a few pixels too wide per word, which is exactly why their output will not sit flush against a real screenshot.
The 93 characters above are the ones worth a picture each. The full default font is 2,412 characters across three separate sheets: ascii.png for the basics, accented.png for the accented Latin that German, French, Spanish and Polish need, and nonlatin_european.png for Cyrillic and Greek. The generator draws from all three, so it can set a word in any of those alphabets.
