The day is March 19th, 2017, and you are a teenage boy in Rural South Carolina, USA. It’s the weekend, so you get to relax today, right? WRONG. Due to your subpar performance in school, your parents have decided that you will be spending the day outdoors like they did when they were your age. That way, you can get off those stupid electronics for a little while! Oh, and make sure you’re home by supper!
After wandering around for a few hours, you encounter a mysterious man and quickly find yourself deep underground in a ruined laboratory. In this laboratory, more formally Facility 33 of the Arctangent Laboratories, you will uncover all sorts of secrets, from information regarding a mysterious sword called the “Netherflame Blade” to the true nature of the mysterious evil that has destroyed the facility. If you want to leave this place, you’ll have to forge the Netherflame Blade and defeat this evil.
Do you have what it takes to succeed?
The Netherflame Blade is a puzzle/adventure/PVE map for version 1.21.4 EXACTLY that was made by me, PsyKat777, the creator of the Enhanced map series. It has been tested by me and 2 beta testers, guigui0246 and soph1703. Based on what I hear from the testers, the map’s puzzles are about normal difficulty, and the combat entirely depends on your in-game difficulty. It should take about 2-3 hours to beat. While development was a bit rocky for various reasons, I finished the map over a year after I started developing it!
This map tries its best to take what was good about the Enhanced maps while taking away the bad parts(excessive dialogue, annoyingly difficult puzzles, etc.). New aspects are also added, like voice acting. You do NOT need to have played the Enhanced maps beforehand; they take place in entirely different universes.
The map is inspired by quite a few different things, most notably The Legend of Zelda, The Kitatcho Laboratories, and the SCP Foundation. However, it also has some smaller inspirations, like those old NicoThePro tool maps, Undertale/Deltarune, and Don’t Turn It On Origins: Realms.
So, yeah, hope you enjoy!
