About DJC City

Welcome to the city of ambitions, built by just two main builders over the course of 2+ years. We've been working very hard to produce an excellent world for you to do whatever you want with. Take a look at our huge hand-terraformed map ready to be filled in, or walk around the bustling streets of the city! We've got it all; ranging from thriving business districts to quiet suburban houses, large freeways and interconnected road networks. We've also got plenty of secrets, ranging from little compartments in buildings, to entire secret tunnel systems and much more, including a vast story of the city and much lore to find!

Our History

DJC City was initially begun by just two friends, Cyeban and badboy_cj. Our other good friend thedonhand joined in too as well as small visits and little help by other friends and builders, but I can say that 99% of everything in this city was made by just the two of us! Did you know, this wasn't actually supposed to turn out as a city? We initially just felt like making a company headquarters for our new company "DJC Inc", so I booted up a server, and we found a random slab of rock to get working on! From there, we decided to make another building next to it, "Peckria Tower", and then another. Soon enough, more buildings were being built, road networks were being established and city plazas were made! By then, we were fully committed to the city, and decided to start thinking of long-term expansion and terraforming. This city was built in a mesa biome, not the greatest for terrain and especially since we didn't do any prior terraforming to the city, we largely improvised the waterfronts, terrain shapes and layout of the buildings. I believe this is what makes the city so unique, as it almost represents a real-life factor of starting in the middle of nowhere and making it work.

Some key features

From mostly functional casinos to post offices with real news stories, we've got it all for an immersive experience! We've made the city at a smaller scale than some cities, but I believe this helps keep a minecraft-scaled city, making you feel like you are living in the city and aren't an ant. Need to travel between suburbs? Use our highways, freeways or state routes, all packed with fully informational guidance signs to find your point B! Want to roleplay a city or suburban lifestyle? You've found the right place! With every building fully decorated, you can visit the doctors, go to work, go shopping or simply sleep in a random house! We've not only got our own brands, but shops and supermarkets are fully equipped with custom products!

CBD Island

Our first and oldest suburb, the center of the city! Featuring the oldest buildings and areas you can find in the whole city, the grand parliament, Peckria Plaza, a functional underground metro line and much more.

Jerryden

The second ever finished suburb, and the center of tourism. Featuring a central train station, a grand casino and hotel building featuring over 100 rooms, the beautiful beach, a bustling tourist and leisure district, the biggest shopping centre of the city and much more. This is the ultimate holiday and tourism destination!

Alburn

This is where suburbanization begins, with many fully furnished houses, shopping strips, a stunning cathedral, the biggest hospital of the city and more. You can live very nicely here, with beautiful views of the ocean and CBD Island, as well as easy connections to both major freeways and a highway. This suburb provides an excellent day-to-day lifestyle.

Jimmy Caperoni International Airport

Travel anywhere you need to go with this bustling airport featuring multiple gates, fully decorated duty free shops, a hotel for long layovers, custom signage and more importantly, a fully roleplay-ready check-in and flying experience! The airplanes were hand-made and fully decorated, providing details as small as seat numbers and folding tray tables!

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is this city actually over 2 years old?

A: It's been getting built over the last 2 years, but not continuously. I've been taking small breaks, and since it is just a passion project I do not put my full time into it.

Q: What game version does the city use?

A: It uses 1.21.8 so far, and any version below may break the game as we use blocks from 1.21.8.

Q: Is this city family friendly?

A: I would say it's family friendly to a point, it does contain some swearing and controversial remarks in select parts. I would generally say it's mild enough not to worry about, but I wouldn't recommend downloading if you are below the age of 15.

Q: Can I use this map in a video or reupload it?

A: You can use it in videos, or post it all over social media as long as you provide credit. Please provide the link to this download page if you do post it anywhere, and make sure to credit Cyeban and badboy_cj. As for reuploading in onto other map websites, please don't.

Q: Did you use any world editing applications?

A: As mentioned in the history section, No. I began using worldedit to help flatten land and only fill in square sections of wall or flooring, but thats it. 90% of the building and terraforming was done by hand.
