Before asking any question in the comment section below, please read the entire description. There is no mod required to play, but you will need the resource pack included in the download (Certain places would look really confusing without it)
Brode was abandoned five years ago after a horrible outbreak of a previously unknown virus. The residents are now walking brainless around the collapsing remains as nature slowly reclaims the city. The only survivor left, is you.
Can you survive in this unforgiving city where undead creatures lurk around every corner? Loot cars, apartments and stores for the loot your life rely on. Police and military vehicles contain combat items, ambulances contains health potions, refrigerators contain food and so on.
There are no general story line, but you are able to follow the stories of certain people during the outbreak and their final destination through notes spread around the map.

I am sorry for the late update of this map. I've been busy the last couple of months, and this might be why some of you will find the new update a little short of content. I'm working on a new city map, and there will be no expansion of Brode in a couple of months. On the other hand, I will try to add new content (currently looking into quests)
However, feel free to leave feedback if you have any ideas for quests in the upcoming content update. Check out EXPmaps for more information or look into my other maps!

QuoteSorry about that! There will be signs in the new map as well, but they're all vanilla to avoid the problems with the resource pack..

QuoteI believe it should work fine? Haven't played on this map for a while as I work on a new project. However, just play with the normal default if it won't work...

QuoteI played this map for a week now and i like it, but now i got confused and read all commments here.
As i noticed i wasnt the only player that got spawn at the reaktorbuilding , but i played it like that, as a survivor heading to a unkown city to find loot and mybe some other survivor. On my way found some old messages and follow them backwords into the city like a detectiv.
In the beginning i thought the map was planed to be played like that. Oki i got it now, i was wrong but it was much fun like that so i just say try it yourself this way. Mybe it will need some npc survivor to fill the story.
thx for the fun i had playing the map, good job, i am impressed.

QuoteNot quite sure how the map will behave. I believe most structures will look somewhat normal, certain items might disappear. However, it might be some minor troubles with the command blocks. I honestly don't know, haven't tried it out...

QuoteHard to tell at the moment. I will (you probably know this) release the map as a normal city map first with a couple of "teasers" of the forthcoming apocalypse. I believe this release will be within 2016. However, the process of making things apocalyptic will be time consuming, as I like details (perfectionist x) ) I assume winter 2017 will be the first release of the apocalyptic version n.n

QuoteThe next city is way bigger than Brode, and will offer more federal buildings as well! A court house and a police station is already there, I'll look into the town hall-idea. However, I will release it as a normal city map first, then make it apocalyptic. Thanks for the feedback!

QuoteI believe you'll find the map (Zipped, you'll need to unzip first) in downloads. Unzip the file and place it in your saves-folder. I guess this should do it.

QuoteYeah, because you spawn near the power plant, but when you die you spawn at a campsite. It's rlly confusing.

QuoteThanks for the feedback! I'll take a look, and reduce the loot in future versions - I also believed I turned off general mob spawning, this might be wrong.. I am not sure when the next apocalyptic map will be out, as there is a huge bunch of work left, but I will certainly take your advice further!
