Vertoak City

Vertoak City is a massive city themed creation/adventure map for minecraft. Unlike other maps, there are no goals or rules in Vertoak City, you can explore and do anything you want. You choose your own adventure!

Every building in the city has fully furnished rooms to explore, and there are tons of hidden chests and secret rooms to find as well. Can you find them all? There are also two ruins located near the city, exploring them will reveal their secrets.

If you hit the pause button, then open to LAN it should allow you to change the gamemode. You have to open to LAN evrytime you open the map, however.

press esc, then press open to lan and press cheats on and whatever else u want then press open to lan (: hope u like my advise

Well if you played the map in a different version then came back to it, it'll stay broken. You have to redownload the map and ONLY play in 1.8.8, or else it'll break again.

I might be late and since the creator didn't see your comment here's a trick:
when you join the world, pause the game and click ''Open to LAN'' this will port the game on a local server (you can stay alone in the world) and from there you can choose the gamemode you want and allow cheats :D, hope this helped

you can press the esc button on your key board then click [open to LAN] and allow cheats. then once you've done that type /gamemode 1

yes there is, put the map to a LAN world which you can do by pressing exit and going to LAN, and while your doing that you allow cheats or whatever its called and then boom you can change the rules.
