Map Info

Hello guys!

Stevertus here and today I have a new minigame puzzle map for you.

It was inspired by a mobile game with the same name.

Download link for it can be found here: Android

The concept is easy: Try to create a closed shape by clicking on the single parts.

Control with W A S D and Right-click.

At this time there are 20 Stages, I will make more soon.

Maybe you can see this as a little 10 Subscriber special on Planet Minecraft. You can find me on there with this link.

So I think that was all, have a nice day and see you soon!

Yours Stevertus

Oh I forgot to say that you can subscribe me to not miss any new levels. And please consider to give me Diamonds on Planet Minecraft if you enjoyed this map!

Pixal Ninja I enjoyed the map and I think the mechanics and build are done really well. As a suggestion could you make more levels for the map?
I've done a let's play if you'd like to check it out:

Congrats on 10 subscribers!

Cubed_09 As much as i enjoy puzzles, this is really enjoyable! Thumbs up! *7.6/10*
The only thing it needs is a slow soundtrack.

Dwittyy While inspirations from mobile games and other games in general is normally okay, this game was too much like a mobile game. The idea was nice, but it was almost directly inspired from another game, so you can't be credited too much for that.

There were some really cool additions to the map, like the interface, the textures, and the addition of sounds. These are always nice to see in a map because it shows that the map maker knows what they're doing to some extent.

However, I do want to point out the following problems I found in a concise form, so that you can fix these for an update or keep in mind when making future maps:
- The spawn location was incorrect. This might be because I played in 1.9.2, but I also spawned in creative mode.
- Spelling errors. 'Particels' should be 'Particles', for example. If English isn't your main language, find someone who can help translate for you.
- The interface was overwhelming. Things like 'Leave a diamond if you like' are unnecessary. Credits should be at the start or end of the map, or maintained subtly. I'd suggest removing the interface altogether and having a basic tutorial at the beginning.

There were some strong points with the map as I mentioned above, but there's still some ground to cover to improve. That said, there's always ways to improve your skills and we all learn from each other. From what I can see, you have a lot of potential as a map maker, but you just need to think more as if you were a player playing it for the first time. Good luck!

UnlikelyWaffle Scoring (out of 5 [5 is rarely given, 3 and 4 are good])

Uniqueness: 4

This is a fun little map. The resource pack adds much to the map, it would not work well without it. It changes every block you see and has some good (if not entirely necessary) sound effects. The HUD inside the game is kind of fun. It gives interest to what would otherwise be bland sides of your vision. It's quite unique in having the particles and sounds on a toggle, haven't seen that before.
The puzzles start off easy and get progressively harder. I had to sit and think for a little bit on a couple of them. Challenging, but not to the point of frustration. The only frustrating point was my constant misclicking, which is my own oddity. There were a few instances of clicking on a block and it not registering, but those only happened a few times.
One part that I want to point out is the barriers that were placed in order to keep you only above the playable blocks. That is a nice feature, preventing you from straying off of the playing field.
Recommendations :
-fix the start location. Spawn onto a platform where all settings are set (gamemode, difficulty, etc) and you get teleported to the main starting room (look up QMagnet's series on beginning map making for reference). It's somewhat confusing spawning in on top of a room.
-the level selection buttons in the main room. It feels a little weird having the buttons start on the center wall, continue on the right wall, and then go to the next line above that. I recommend you put the first set on the left wall, the next set on the center, and continue it on the right. Then if you get more levels, wrap it around to sit on top of the first set. It will look better and be less confusing in the future.

Overall, this is a fun map. It's fairly unique and quite fun to play. An above average map.

Congrats on 10 subs!
