The Journey to Insanity is a singleplayer (1.16.5) horror map with an estimated 1-3 hours to complete. The map tells a story about a man who had his life ruined by something outside of his control. He becomes insane and decides to do something... rather... stupid. Try to keep yourself together and escape the mess you've found yourself in. But watch out, not everything is on your side.

This map features multiple endings and a resource pack filled with scary... Well, you'll see. Make sure to play the map at a safe volume level and do not use F5 (third perspective). All constructive criticism is welcome! You should preferably use my Discord for this reason, and if you liked the map, check out my YouTube channel!

+1 Zedbeevee Late to the party, but still got stuff to say. Firstly, one of the best horror maps I've ever played overall. Innovative idea, amazing execution, beautiful fitting textures. But I could not complete the map. It already took me quite long to complete the first part in the garage because there was zero instructions. That part seems quite unnecessary and doesn't add too much. When the spooky part started, the atmosphere and everything was close to perfect - still the same problem though: too little instruction. I get that that might be a conscious choice you made, but paired with the fact that there is no map or anything of the cemetary and the bunch of buildings around it make it really difficult. You can't see for more than a few blocks and lose orientation so quickly. On top, you can't know where the "enemy/enemies" are.
Nevertheless, it was an amazing and properly scary experience, even though there is a feeling of "What the hell do I have to do now?" and "Where even am I?" all throughout at least the first part. Also noticed some minor performance issues, but that's probably just me.

0 ThempressTea Hello! I'm currently making a series for this map, as it is very challenging to complete. Part 1 is up so I'm sharing it here, and I'll be posting the other parts as soon as I'm able to record and play them!

+7 Peter Nice concept but the view distance of ~4 blocks makes it nearly unplayable. I didn't finish the game because I was just hugging walls all the time... kind of boring.
