The map is fun to look at and boring to survive in. It's the same thing all throughout with the resources slapped down in a select few places shown on the map, and that's it. There aren't any dungeons, no structures, nothing. I get that it's supposed to be an alien world--and it looks the part for sure--but it's so bland.
So I feel like I keep going in circles, I can't find anything that looks like the second and third pictures and I'm super eager to find it....any hints or tips??

There were no saplings on the ship? It's obvious I need to explore more than I have so far but I haven't seen signs of wood and it seems like too essential of a resource to not have in the beginning, especially since there are a lot of supplies there.

Just explore more and the map will finish and you will find the normal minecraft map =)))
