The Redstone Predicament 2

Map Info

Welcome back to the Redstone Laboratories, where we have a much bigger predicament.

After the failure of security in our last map, we have increased security in our laboratory, to make for a more successful, safe place. Your job is to test our system and try and once again open the iron door at the end of the map! To do this, you have to guide a redstone current from the beginning to the end of our laboratory. With some new unique redstone components and of course all of the old ones too, this puzzle is sure to stump you this time around.

In our laboratories, we recommend that you turn off particles and turn your brightness way up high. Please stay in Adventure Mode.

This map has not been tested for multiplayer, but you know what, we see no reason why it shouldn't work.

And yes, the chicken is back again. Enjoy!

+1 Felix Hey! I Played This Map Long Ago And I Liked It!
Can You Make A Third One That Is A Little Bit Harder Than The Other Ones?
Just Because My Brain Isnt Hurting From The Redstone..

0 SuperWaffle57 Amazing map!
Just, if you make a third one, PLEASE don't add parkour. I wanted to do this map to think, not play parkour.

Any suggestions and/or redstone components you would like to see in the third and final map? Would love to hear your ideas!

Hard to explain, but I'll try. It's like that parkour thing, but you do not parkour to activate redstone, you need to solve the puzzle to parkour instead of that! Hope you have heard me.

P.S. Looks like you ignored my last comment.

+1 _KJP12 Nice 2nd Redstone Puzzle Map. You sure did a good job at it. Try adding more gates like XOR gates where you have to be time sensitive. Anyways, If you added command block logic in there, that would make it more advanced. Also, I would recommend using command blocks next time for the chicken dispenser as you can run out eventually.

+1 Mase_G I'm glad you all enjoyed the map! This map was designed with beginners in mind, so experts might not find this hard. I've had people tell me that this was too simple, and I've had people tell me that this was too hard! Next map, I'm working on making it much more difficult. Glad you are liking it!

0 2547technowizz When i saw some of the youtubers i watch play this map i was excited because their videos were longer than the first map so i thought this map would be a little more challenging, but when i downloaded the map and played it, i found that it took the same amount of time for me to finish it as the first map! What was i supposed to expect? the whole map is just locking repeaters and a couple AND gates. Any redstoner with a little over basic knowledge of redstone could finish this map in 5-10 mins. This map is more for people who are not too good with redstone, and want to be challenged. I do recommend this map to beginners, but i dont recommend this map to people who already know redstone. Although i do give props to the map creator for making the map without killing themselves because of how tedious placing redstone is!

0 Mayboosh Very well made map, however if you are good at redstone this is extremely easy. I finished it in a matter of minutes. So if you do make a no. 3 I'd suggest making it ALOT harder, as I found the it was just trying to flip lever to get an "and gate" to let a signal out.

0 Blagish Nice map, man. Not very hard, but not very easy. I'd like the third map. 10/10

Btw, if you are reading this, Maze_G, I'd like to help you with the next map (if you'd like me to). Not because of your map's fame, don't even think about this, I just wanna try my redstone and command block skills (which are good) in "real" work. If you'd like to, contact me using Skype: live:sir.blagis h. Hoping for further cooperation.

0 EB Not a real challenge for expert redstoners, more just redstone placed in random ways, you just need a bit of patience, most of the time it only used the repeaters blocking function and parkour makes it less enjoyable.

Oh and btw: you could have put "true" at the end of your saturation command to hide the particles ;)

0 Ivya A very nice map that was challenging without being confusing.

I did find two issues.

The first one is pretty small and not a big deal, but the slime block in the floor has dirt beneath it.

The second one isn't too terrible either, but should be addressed. The minecart running on the tracks near the start can be used to get outside of the map.

I'm glad you all enjoyed this map. Is there interest for a third one!? I have different, new maps on the way, but I would love to make a third one if interest is there.

I'd absolutely love a third one. These two maps are the only custom maps I've been able to finish (i.e. not get bored). Just a 'skip parkour' mode would make the map more enjoyable (I use /tp @p ~ ~7 ~), as I (and a considerable amount of the community) am/are rubbish at parkour.

+1 EnderHydra doesn't the redstone predicament already have a sequel called open the door?

2016-05-26 20:30

+3 Dardonax Amazing map. Didn't really like the parkour, but that's probably just me. I especially like how you try to fool the player with random levers that do practically nothing. I noticed that, in the previous one, you practically made it so that you just flipped all the levers. All in all, though, I loved both maps. It's nice to have some simple redstone without commands.

+1 srMustachio Was expecting a challenge. But what can I say. I was a little bit of a redstone Geek back in the days. This didn't stump me once. But the parkour was nifty addition. Although it wasn't good for me. It sure will be for some people. Thats the point. I enjoyed it. These maps need to be made more often. Thanks :).

+2 Nunnally Again very good map and its better than first one Thank you

Kinda Wish You Didn't Add The Parkour Lel

Btw I Made A Video About This Map Check It Out.

0 JopeliH Hey MASE_G! The map was very GOOD and Challenging! I enjoyed playing the map! TIP. When you use the /effect command you can put word "true" at the end of the command to hide the particles! :D

2016-05-24 11:50

0 Bigcookiefaceman Very well made. It certainly stumped me a few times. The only thing I would point out is: nearer the beginning, where a minecart moves in circles on the wall, you can get into the minecart and leave the map. Otherwise, brilliantly made!
