QuoteI completely agree I went for that classical, cheesy horror XD which I kind of didn't consider that scary
2016-11-12 18:18
QuoteIt becomes a horror map if there are things that are typically considered 'scary'. Jump scares, chilling music, the classic endless hallway... are all signs of a horror map.
An adventure map doesn't have those things.
Just because a map is in the horror section, that doesn't mean there can't be an adventure or a story in it. I've played some pretty cool horror/adventur e maps.
And miss-categorizi ng it doesn't do any good. :/

QuoteWARNING, THERE ARE JUMP SCARES.
I know this was put in the adventure section, where you don't find jump scares, but they're there.
The music can also be very creepy, and there is psychological horror/scares.
Yeah, this really belongs in the horror section.

QuoteJumpscare = scary

QuoteNot all horror maps are horror maps because of the typical 'oh there's a monster chasing you and it's filled with jump scares', and scary in that sort of sense.
Psychological horror is very much real and alive in minecraft horror maps. This map can count as psychological. The story behind it, the music, the never ending hallway... All the things that add up to being psychological horror.
Like the Shining. It's psychological, but it's still a classic horror movie/story.

QuoteOverall, it was a good little romp into The Mine, although I've mentioned before that it's all very "Tech Demo" in a way that it's an experiment for features.
As a demo, works wonders, as a full map, not as much. But it was very enjoyable (Even if I forgot to turn up my music until getting to the house).

Quote1) it is not meant to be scary but if you think it really is that is fine
2) When you are at that part you need to click the next until you get the text that says try the door. Then you need to right click the door you came in. Sometimes it can be hard to find the right spot so try spam clicking around the door
