Dol Guldur, also known as the Hill of Dark Sorcery, was Sauron's stronghold and base of operations when he worked his sorcery in the wood under the title The Necromancer.
It was located south of Mirkwood for over two-thousand years in the Third Age.

Blocks are too monotonous and in my opinion, Dol Guldur in Hobbit darker than this recreation.

This map is probably one of the best maps that i have ever seen and actually played on. So much detail and all looking so much like the one in the film, almost identical apart from the blockiness of course. Very, Very well made :)
