Map Info

Mayhaps it is best if I did not tell you the story of the Dwarven Kingdoms: the wars fought by broken kings, the chaos caused by anger and pride in their stone cold hearts, but perhaps, dwarven brethren, perhaps you could find out for yourself.

The Dwarven Kingdoms is a minecraft map that took nearly a year to finish. This map (made by Nick Nui and MataNui2009) is an adventure through 4 kingdoms that have been split apart long ago and are constantly torn in conflict. You see, long ago, the dwarven kingdoms were one and they were led by a ruler every dwarf looked up to, but then the humans came. The dwarves and humans fought a war that ended in the defeat of the poor dwarven miners. The dwarves were sealed in a barier, trapping them underground forever (yes this map has some Undertale inspiration.) Ever since, the dwarves grew to hate each other, they grew distrustful of one another, and they turned on each other in violent combat. Now the kingdoms of dwarves are separated, and they'll never see the surface world again.

This map is very much designed for single player. Multiplayer is allowed, but I'd very much recommend playing in single player as I've only tested things in that game mode.

WARNING:  There are a few words in this map that aren't necessarily swear words, but they're parodies of swear words, and they're about as close as you can get to actual swear words without being swear words. There are some more serious moments in this map, but don't be fooled because this map has a sense of humor as well. I'd actually say this map is more comedic than serious, but serious moments are here.

Although I really want to call this the alpha version of the map, it's more like I want to make a remaster or sequel. I mean, the map does end in a fitting place, and everything works as far as I've tested, so it's not like it's an unfinished map or anything. I just think Dwarven Kingdoms 2 Electric Boogaloo is going to be much shorter when it comes out.

The spawn point of this map is at -2075 64 812. If you are not at -2075 64 812 then I have failed you, please forgive me.

Features:

  • 13 cities to explore
  • 14 boss fights
  • 3-4 mines (depending on what you count as a mine)
  • over 20 notable characters

Update notes: Made things less confusing and fixed some bugs.

Hey! Me and my friend just finished this map and it's amazing! We absolutely love the attention to detail in this map (especially since it's your first one) and I cannot wait for part 2. At the end you said you needed some help building the next game? My friend and I aren't any good at building or red stone but we'd be happy to help with voice acting (we both have many years experience in the dramatics) and we'd just love to help out on your game. Thankyou for making something with a coherent storyline and difficult but fun bossfights, and many laugh out loud moments. As a big Undertale fan, I found this map very funny. Best of luck on the sequel and your youtube channel. Will definitely keep track of your work xxx

So, I'm currently working on part 2 of Dwarven Kingdoms and right now and so far there won't be any voice acting. However, I do plan that if some more talented map makers wanted to remake the 2 maps and add voice acting and music and such, then I'd let them do it and oversee the project. I would certainly like to consider you and your friend if something like this every does happen, but I'm not sure if the project will ever reach the eyes of any seriously talented map makers.

However, if you did want to help with the sequel in anyway, I'd love to keep in touch. Dwarven Kingdoms is a project I wouldn't mind advertising and making extended universe content (such as animations and stuff). If you or a friend of yours knows anything about advertising or animation, don't be afraid to talk to me on twitter.

Music can also be accepted for the project, but keep in mind I already wrote a soundtrack for most parts of the map.

+1 Nick Nui I'd like to ask people to stop down voting comments made by people who legit have problems with the map. The map is not perfect, that's just fact at this point. Some people are confused about what they're supposed to do in the map, and the lack of walkthroughs on the internet means this is one of the few places people can ask questions. Don't get me wrong, upvote or downvote whatever you want, just keep in mind that there are legitimate criticisms with this game that should be brought up if someone is having game-breaking problems.

There's actually two boss fights with creepers along a bridge, so I left the answer for the other boss fight in a different comment.

1. Wait for the statue to start crying
2. swim through the eye to get to the "brain" of the statue.
3. Push button
4. repeat this for 2 more statues
The fourth statue isn't activated, and though that may seem like an accident it was done on purpose.
5. climb the staircase to where Mahan is.

You're supposed to wait until you're given a button. After this, the door to the control room will open and you can use that button on 1 of 4 machines. Repeat this process 4 times. Afterwards, a passage will open to the North.

Phase 1. Wait for the doors on either side of the bridge to open. Once the right door opens, run up the staircase and jump on the nearby ship. Use the axe (from the abandoned mansion) to cut through the steering wheel made of birch fence. In there you will find a lever.
Phase 2. Similar to phase 1 but on the left side.
Phase 3. Wait for the door on the right to open again and climb up the staircase again, there will be new doors open that you can go through. There will then be birch fences in the room, dig them so that you get on top of the cell where Jacob is being kept. Free him and you get another lever, then jump down to the slime blocks in front of the statue.
Phase 4. Wait for the door on the left to open again and climb up the staircase again. There will be new doors open that you can go through. Just continue along this path till you find a lever.

+1 Nick Nui So, I've been trying to update the map for a while now, but my update requests don't seem to be going through. Here's the link to the updated version if you want to play it without the bugs.

I know this seems a bit dodgy, a link in a comment section, but I promise you I'm the same dude who worked on the original Dwarven Kingdoms map. You can check my mediafire profile, and see it's the same one.

+2 Colin Hey I like the map and its story. My problem is there are some parts that are really laggy for framerate/tickr ate. I by no means have a low end computer, and the battle against the northerners where the massive phantom comes back again cripples my FPS to ~4FPS. I also experienced quite a bit of lag when large changes to the map were made (the first phantom fight when the lava was draining and when it was being filled, it may take multiple minutes until things are responsive again.)

0 Mewion When you get to the elder's house, the one where you are blind and fighting spiders, after the fight, go down into the command blocks with creative mode. This is because the map creator set it so that it would give the correct item to HIM, not to the nearest player.

What you want to do is go to the top layer of the mine after opening the chest in that room. There will be a passageway to the next place you need to go.
