Map Info

The year is 187IE, and the continent of Vaeltaja has gone silent. Nothing has left the continent. The overseas empire of Iustia sent a division of their army to investigate, but no-one has been heard from since. The continent was labelled un-safe for all travel, and a blockade was established to keep people out... or something else in. Unfortunately, you've been having dreams. Dreams urging you to make the journey across that wretched ocean and seek the truth yourself - and that's exactly what you did. Armed with nothing but what you could load onto a small boat, you set sail for the forbidden continent. However a monstrous storm hit, and your ship was capsized. Everything went black... and then, you awoke.

On the Map

JOLHAIM is an Open World RPG based on dungeon crawling, looting everything and learning about the fateful continent's past. With the exception of a brief tutorial, the player is free to do whatever they please, so long as they are armed well enough to fight anyone who would dare to oppose them. You are completely free to explore, to learn, and to fight anything you believe you are ready for. The less I say other than that, the better. Download today, and experience Jolhaim for yourself!

+3 RandomDude so, while the map is amazing, its too open world. i was playing with my friend, but after reaching the city(?) it got weird and confusing, where do you go? idk. what do we have to do? idk.
its just too confusing on where you gotta go, and what you gotta do. but it does look amazing. and,, what's the point in giving us weapons? if there's no-one, not to mention getting OP weapons that quickly, same goes for armor

There's a literally a link to multiplayer instructions in the Readme. It is also called Readme, because you should read it.

+2 Clay While I enjoyed my time playing the map, I had to stop because after a certain point, the lag makes it pretty much unplayable. I think it's caused by the sheer number of entities, which exceeds a thousand in most areas (and yes, that was with render distance turned down to the "minimum" of 12 chunks). You should probably do something about that.

To open the left door, you need to hold the left key in your main hand and stand near the door. If that still doesn't work, let me know and I'll get straight to patching that!

Does this map support multiplayer?

While not as much testing ahs been done in multiplayer, the map has been designed to support it. Just be weary that there may be bugs I've yet to find if you decide to play it in multiplayer. If you find any, report them to me on Planet Minecraft or Twitter and I'll fix them ASAP!
