In this map you have to pass 10 different designed levels using a completely new game mechanic in Minecraft:

You can record your movement and replay it to activate pressure plates with your clone. Also new mechanisms will be introduced during the map, for example a teleportation item or a platform to be lifted by the clone. Furthermore a unique resourcepack and a custom story is included in this map.

Important Info

  • this is a singleplayer-map, do not play this map on a server!
  • (no, this is not a horror map)
  • If you have a very weak computer the map may not work correctly (due to the massive amount of entities needed to run the main game mechanism)
  • If you record this map for Youtube please make sure to credit all of the creators in the description (It took very long to create this map so this would be appropriate)
  • there are a few unfixable bugs in the map (e.g doors open permanently for no reason). These bugs exist due to minecraft itself and cannot be prevented. We really apologize for those, but they are very unlikely to appear.
  • Remember to play the map with the minecraft version 1.10.2! It won't work with newer ones!

That is very strange... I never met this bug before. In which level did the item vanish? This would be very helpful. Otherwise you can still give yourself a carrot on a sick (/give @p minecraft:carro t_on_a_stick). This item has the exact same effect then. I hope this helped you. I will try to find and fix this bug as soon as possible!

Solution:


Activate the record mode and record yourself standing in front of the first - and then in front of the second door, but in one run. Then just walk through the timestop gate and use the waterfall to get to the upper platform with the pressure plate needed to open the second door. Stand on this pressure plate and play the record. As soon as the clone stands in front of the second door, use your "teleport to clone"-item to teleport yourself to the clone and walk through the door (after being teleported you always watch in the same direction as your clone does. You will get way easier through the door if you stand slightly diagonal to it) Then you just have to step on the next pressure plate and play the record again. Now you have to teleport to your clone while he is standing before the other door.

The funny thing is that I included this jump to the waterfall on purpose, because you need to get the clone in the upper area to get the joker card in the level. However, I did not think that everybody discoveres this "bug-jump" first instead of solving the puzzle the regular way.
I am also aware of the fact that the leveldesign in this map is not always on point. My next map will be better regarding this aspect.

My intention when introducing the springs was to create an alternative element for the normal "jumpboost blocks". They actually work the same way how real springs work, but I completely understand that it is strange to get used to them. The trick is to not sprint forward when jumping since you would "step off" the spring and not get boosted in the air.

This is really sad, I apologize for this. However I can not do anything against it since your computer might be too weak to handle this new mechanic. One of my testers had the same problem and I am really sorry for that.

Well, the archive contains various background information, but it is not necessarily needed to fully understand the story. Thank you for decoding some of the texts anyway, I think think this may be useful for some other players, too. However the bossfight actually contains the most information for the story, so you should try to find all endings and read the dialogue that should stop the player during the fight if you are interested in the story ^^

It took very long to create this map. Thus we started with Minecraft 1.10. The main mechanism is very complicated and involves a massive amount of armorstands and commandblocks. However in 1.11 the name of armorstands (and other entities as well) as an entity changed from ArmorStand to armor_stand. So if I want to update the whole map I would have to write more than 100 Commands again. Furthermore I think the noGravity-Tag changed in 1.11 so the clone could not activate pressure plates in 1.11, but I am not completely sure about this change. It is easier to just simply play in 1.10.2 ^^
