Map Info:
It is the year 2012. A nondescript tech company, cyxCorp, has been conducting research on the edge of scientific discovery -- time travel. In so doing, they have met with some success, but are hesitant to divulge their findings. What is it about the future that they keep so secret?

Did they find an abundance of natural resources and technical knowledge? Or maybe the future forecasts the destruction of humanity? Only you can find out.

Rules:
1.)  Play on Peaceful.
2.)  Place switches, levers and buttons only on emerald blocks.
3.)  Don't break any blocks.
4.)  Crafting is allowed from items found in chests/dispensers/furnaces.

It's advisable not to collect all the journals along the way.

About:
Playtime is approximately 3 hours.

This map was created in 1.3.2 by JeTSpice.

Thanks to users Frossa and robotv56 for the kind use of their buildings throughout Twelve.

+5 Sonic Flash I couldn't understand it, it was so hard, unclear on what to do, so I started to explore and breaking blocks. That still wasn't fun.

+9 Akashik13 I played this for five hours, then I felt like I was going to barf, so I quit. I got quite a ways into it and was still trying to complete the map. The only person who got through this map in three hours is the creator. (Who knew exactly where to go.)

+7 Marcus I downloaded this map because the story seemed interesting and the architecture looked cool, but really, that's all it is- cool architecture and a bunch of written books. Searching for buttons and pressure plates is tedious and annoying. Not only that, but I've found A LOT of areas where you could escape the map. I'm not saying that this was a bad map, but maybe you could've put more action and less books.

+9 lumpy411 You have really good architetchure and a really good storyline, but when it comes down to it, all you really do is walk around in an office building and read peoples diaries. I quit before I finished because it got too redundant. If youre gonna make a sequel, make it more exciting, like a parkour or a mob fight or something.

+5 Kert The map is pretty nice, but there are too many paths that could be used to escape from the city. It's confusing when you do this because you don't know whether it's a secret place or not

+10 newbzoors The map is very pretty, but it sucks that the main challenge is just trying to figure out how to get from Point A to Point B. It seems like a major tactic of your design was to put blocks everywhere with tons of possible routes through them, but only one of those routes being the correct one. This is not fun, simply frustrating.

+2 Tommy Yeah that was a fun map didn't score that well.

9/24 diamonds
4/7 golden apples
0/4 nuggets
1/2 enchanted apples
7/12 cookies

Still a very good map.

There is no button on the back of lvl 2's stairway door. That could confuse a player after exiting the portal and accidently putting the button there instead of the appropriate spot which is on the 3rd floor.

That'll get fixed in a later version.

Quoting Pyroarcher99:
Hey how did you get water in the nether cos at least since beta 1.8 you couldn't put water buckets in the nether...

The buildings -- and water blocks -- were copied/saved to a schematic using Single Player Commands, and then loaded/pasted into the Nether.

A bit confusing at times, but a great map overall! After I finished the map,I started finishing the city to use it as a survival map, or rather, a kind of place you'd want to live in. As a result,I found that nifty little "haha cheater" sign. I guess I'm adding to the city myself.

Awesome. Love to see updates about it.

Quick question: How did you set up the spawn point at the beginning of the map?? Thank you in advance.

You just exit the map before you put the contents of the name of the map inside another folder.

At first, attempting to use MCedit. But that route only set up a spawn area, spawning the player on the roof or in the fenced back yard. So, a bed was used instead.

There's a forum thread here about other work-arounds:
